Burgh Island is an island located off the coast of South Devon, England. It is known for its stunning Art Deco hotel that was built in the 1920s and its association with famous authors and celebrities, such as Agatha Christie and Winston Churchill. Musician Ben Howard released a song called "Burgh Island" in 2012, which was later featured on his EP of the same name. The song is said to be inspired by Howard's experiences on the island and the history and legends surrounding it. Howard has also performed at the Burgh Island Hotel and has referred to it as his "spiritual home."
